For the ceremonial opening of the Koralmbahn, broadcast live on ORF 2, we designed and developed a series of animations tailored specifically to a custom light installation within the ORF studio. The goal was to create a visual layer that seamlessly integrates with the broadcast environment while enhancing the overall atmosphere of the live event. The visuals were used to frame interviews and transitions, supporting the narrative without distracting from the content. By combining precise timing, motion, and light, the installation became an active part of the broadcast, adding depth and a contemporary visual identity to the program.
The visuals accompanied interviews and transitions, subtly guiding the viewer through the broadcast. Rather than competing with the content, they created a rhythm between light, motion, and conversation — shaping a cohesive visual atmosphere that supported the narrative of the event. As part of a live television setting, the animations became more than just background elements: they acted as a dynamic extension of the stage, responding to the flow of the broadcast and enhancing its emotional impact in real time.
